Short description: A course is about a procedure of the environmental impact assessment. The course includes preparation of documentation, public participation and competence of environmental authorities. In addition, it is considered a strategic environmental impact assessment and a habitat’s assessment relating to the Natura 2000 areas.
Full description: Theoretical knowledge and guidelines have to prepare project (from different sectors: logistisc, energetisc, industry, waste management, water management, tourism) which consists of following elements: initial selection and qualifying ventures, estimation of environment impact report range, estimation of report correct, estimation ways of influence planned ventures on different components of natural environment.

Learning outcomes: Knowledge During course students achieves theoretical knowledge of environmental impact estimation procedures as a tool environment and sustainable development managements. Graduated students achieve theoretical and practical skills of efficiently low apply in range of environmental impact estimation. Student distinguishes competences of the environmental authorities and understands legal responsibility in trems of the environmental protection; Skills Student uses EIA procedure, he is able to prepare the EIA report for the selected projects; He identifies and assesses the environmental risks caused by human activity; Student uses and interprets the law in solving environmental problems, he knows how to plan the selected action requiring decisions of environmental authorities Social competences Student correctly identifies and resolves social conflicts related to the realization of the planned projects, using rational arguments in favor of environmental protection rules; He understands the need of learning and training continually in terms of issues relating to the environment protection; Student manifests sensitivity to the problems of irrational management of natural resources and he is aware of the importance of issued administrative decisions;
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: grade obtained at classes (60%) + grade obtained at lectures (40%)
